Laziness is NOT an Excuse

I have to admit, I've been lazy. Getting up in the morning and getting my ass out and doing stuff over the last few month has been an issue. I'm happy to report that I have been doing better since the new year and ramping up to the levels I need to be at to keep myself healthy and happy.

This year, I have made sure I can not be lazy, with the most packed race schedule ever. I'm already registered for over 600kms in distance with still more races to register for. If I end up signing up for everything on the list, I'll be over 1000kms in just races.  I even signed up for a race that was not on the list. Although it is a tight schedule, I only have one race that I truly care about, Squamish 50/50. That's right I'm going back to get a second hat, this time it will be green and I will be among a select few people in the world that have completed that race twice. Currently there is only one person who has that distinction.

My other focus will be writing, I am planning on making sure there is at least one post per month. I will do my best to make sure it is a sufferfest but if not I will make sure it is an interesting story. So those of you that love seeing me suffer stay tuned and follow my adventures though this year. One thing I can promise, by the end of the year you will either find BrownDude on the trail face down on his last breath or see BrownDude come out stronger and better than ever. I'm excited and I hope you are too.

Here are some pictures from the start of the year.
