Last Wednesday, I took a snow day and headed up to Dog Mountain for a little fun in the sun & snow. Of course I started with the most important meal of the day, breakfast :) I wonder if that coffee is Irish...

Yes that is freshly made salsa on my scramble eggs :) |
The drive out to the north shore was peaceful, just missing the morning rush. So I figured the mountain would be empty but the parking lot was full of cars :( but I always manage to find a spot.

Something is going on at Seymour |
The Hidden Fortress was being filmed on Seymour, that's why the parking lot was filled up, since I wasn't interested I moseyed along.
|
No idea what this film is about |
|
Not all of that is snow, there's some puddles also |
|
More white stuff |
Finally got to Dog Mountain, which is not in the Bagger Challenge (hint, hint), no idea how long it took since I wasn't wearing a watch but peaceful and all mine, at least for a little bit. I only saw one other group and they were already heading back when I arrived.

What's that's in the distance |
|
It's just Cathedral |
As I was finishing off my lunch lots of groups started showing up and it was my queue to leave. Besides my feet were starting to get cold, I had a run in with a few puddles on the way. The way back was no different, hard pack ice and icy cold puddles. It was a day of pure joy with no worries. I think I need more of these.
